thats the problem with vehicles these days,
they THINK to much.

Can't say I disagree, didn't hear about anything going wrong with a 9th gen or older.

Isn't there a safety switch on the driverside under the hood that won't allow the truck to start if the hood isn't closed?

Yea, looks totaled. Tire is flat and pushed into the body enough to where you probably couldn't drive anyway. Let us know if you figure out how to start it though.
