Crappy Air Conditioning-Has Anyone Thought About A Class Action Suit?

Just to throw some #'s out there for comparison, when my vent temp was reading 42* the evap temp sensor is reporting 34* so some of the chill is lost in the plenum itself.
If those with the lack of a/c issue could post the evap temp sensor reading, it might help narrow the problem down.
I'm going to check my tuner to see if the a/c has an option to change compressor cycle times, it's a long shot but worth looking into.

Green Gem,
I am in the same boat as you. My first big road trip with my truck it was 35 degrees outside and I had to run on MAX AC all the time just to be somewhat comfortable with the fan on setting 3. It has not improved with time. I sympathize with your plight.
However, while frustrated, you are unlikely to garner any goodwill from the people you deal with if your correspondence with Brittany is any indication. They say you can catch more flies with honey than with vinnegar, so if you communicate in a non hostile manner they may be more willing to assist you.
That being said, it seems this issue is really causing you stress. Why not bite the bullet and take your truck to a private AC shop to see if they can fix it. You can then provide Ford with the evidence and ask for reimbursement, which you are unlikely to get. At that point, you could consider small claims court to get reimbursed. At the VERY LEAST your AC will be fixed or you will be more certain that it cannot be fixed and it just a problem with all these trucks.
Cheers

I agree ...just listening to you about this makes us all want to help you! In AZ I have a mechanic I go to that I know could fix it....I mean they build dragsters and fabricate parts.
Take it to a really competent shop with great customer service.
Then take the diagnosis and receipt to Ford.

I'm the type of person who can't stand when things don't work right...let alone something new. Dude if you were in AZ I'd hook you up with my mechanic. ...Lor* knows he saw my 04 Titan enough.
I'm sure you've checked this...but with the hood up and AC on dies your compressor cycle on and off regularly. ...or does it not come on consistently? It's suppose to cycle on and off ....kind of a snap click engage sound .

not running at MAX ac speed, i see you misunderstood or i flucked the duck
it runs on rercirc, which used to be called max.. the air recirculates cabin air not pulling in hot outside air, and the fan speed is controlled by the auto setting,
set the auto fan to the desired temp and it runs like hell, but not offensive in noise, till it hits the temp then slows down,
my OAT is 95-101 lately and cabin temps hover in 69 range with center vent temps 37-43F.
in fact the max fan speed i have only done a few times in the manual mode, i have or cannot recall it ever going max speed in the auto setting

Thanks. I'd french kiss the ugliest tech out there to get a vent reading of 37F. I can't near that on a coolish day.
My truck has manual A/C. It offers a choice between Max and Recirclulate (among other things). And you have OAT of 95-101. On a 80F day, I cannot quite get my cab down to 70F in 30 minutes of driving. At that, I'm running the A/C at full bore.
Take Care
