Default Costco ambient lighting kit.

I saw this at Costco at lunch. It contains four 2' strips of multicolored LED's. A strip for each foot well. It also has a wireless remote for changing colors. It was $29.99 so I thought I'd give it a try. Anyone foresee any problems wiring this up? Anyone know what wire or fuse to tie into? I admit it was an impulse buy and I had hopes a fellow forum member could give me some advice. Thanks.

I look at those twice but couldn't figure out how to hook them up because they are 110 volt.

The output on the back of the transformer says 12V 2Amp. It is taking in 110 but the output is 12V DC. I wasn't planning on using the transformer anyway. I was just going to find am existing 12v wire, perhaps one that is tied to the ignition or parking lights.

I bought some single LEDs and put them in my cup holders in my 06. I love it. Really lights up the cup holders and the center console shifter. It's not the same as the wife's ambient lighting in her Edge but it works and it cost me 10 bucks to do.

haha I bought the same kit, wanting to do the same thing. It should come with four strips in the box. Once I opened it up and looked at all the connections and wiring.... I didn't think it would work. Its now in my daughters room being used as her night light.

Okay, now it's my mission to see this through. It would be a slick kit if we could figure it out.

I have Plasma glow LED Low voltage, and I tied into my power on my bucket seat, being its central I ran all my leads off that and then to the switch on the dash...
any leads I had to extend as mine I can cut and add the blocks any where I like with 3led's to a block and 10 blocks in the kit.
I extended my leads with speaker wire.....I put my blocks under the dash - buckets - in console - under rear seat
the rear seat one I put on a piece of aluminum channel and a lag bolt in the center and bolted to the Box where the Jack is, and made a connection case I wanted to take it out......

I hung all the blocks with ties first then moved them so the shadows matched then I fixed them with the 3m zip ties

I got mine from - CARiD.com....they have all kinds of great products for our F150 or any vechile you have.....they have all kinds of kits for around the same price...20-30.00
It looks better in person then in the pics......everyone just goes wow when they get in at nite.....lol.....its one of my fav Mods.. out of many Ive done..

here is a few pics of mine

Grandpa,
Your truck has all the goodies. Katzkins, moonroof, fenders, tires, sheesh!
That's a good place to get power from, thanks for the tip. Sweet looking truck!
