Cost to install leveling kit?
First of all, I know the installation is a DIY type of thing. But I currently reside at a college and don't exactly have the tools to do it myself.
Now, when I bought my FX4 it already had 3" rear blocks and 1.5" front strut spacers installed. I ordered 2.5" spacers and have decided to find someone to professionally install them.
I went to MIDAS this morning to see what it would cost....$400 with an alignment? That's a bit ridiculous isn't it? I might as well wait to install it myself!
Now I jusr want to know (for those who had it done professionally) how much you all have paid to have your kits installed?

I would expect something like that. Also you said you are moving from a 1.5 to a 2.5? Which brand to which brand? There are a lot of 1.5 and 2.5 levels that give a real lift of about the same as each other...

I think I wa quoted almost $500 originally. But this was for swapping 4 shocks. I had a who worked in a body shop do it ultimately. But I would have argued for a smaller cost at a shop given that it was the Ranch Quicklift system and it doesn't really take long since the springs are built into the shock.
Alignment for 80-100 bucks is average I would say.

I tried a lot of places near me. Some said $50 but their alignment machine couldn't fit my truck. The cheapest I found was an STTC which is funny cause they generally only do commercial big rigs. Unless you know the managers, they refuse to do aftermarket/offroad vehicles! They did me for $70, all other shops both chain shops and off road shops wanted $80-$110 for alignment.
