Default cooper st maxx vs goodyear duratrac

What would u recomend? I hsd my heart set on the st max in 275 70 18 but now the tire shop is telling me they are on nstional backorder. They called cooper and cooper doesnt even know when they will be made. Does the duratrac compare? Thats what they are trying to sell me now.

I love my DuraTracs! I have them in the same size, and yeah I believe they are phasing out the ST Max for the newer STT so they may not make another batch at all. The DuraTracs on the other hand are still currently in production and will be for a long time to come. They are very popular and my customers have given good reviews on them.

I have Duratracs on my 2012 FX4 and love them. Quiet for a very aggressive tire. I have 12,000 on mine and they seem to be wearing very well.

I have Cooper Discover A/t 3's on my truck, might look at them. Brother has them on his and I love them so far on mine allthough i believe not quite as aggressive, they get great traction in my opinion

I'd say the ones with more "X"s would be the better choice. Do any of your options also come with flames painted on them?

I had the duratracs on my last truck and would buy them over the Coopers any day. They are an excellent tire that gives great all weather traction. If they made them in the size I wanted this time I would have definetely bought them again.

The part about the coopers I really like was the silica they use in the compound for better wet traction and lower rolling resistance. I cant believe they dont have them its one of their newest tires

You are better off going with the BFG All Terrains or the Michelin A/T2. its a good looking tire and does well off road. I have used both.

I have had both BFG all terrain and the Duratracs. Both perform equally in all conditions but the Duratracs look much better IMO

true, but BFGs come with a really good milaege warranty at Discount Tire or Americas Tire. compared to the Duratracs which have no warranty. Hope this helps.
