Default Cooper Discoverer ATP

So far (only about 250 mi in) these are some pretty impressive tires. Not sure if anyone here has tried these but I just put a set on my dad's '12 4x4 as the stock Wranglers gave way after 43,000.I try to stay loyal to the wing footed tire company since that's been my employment for the last 21 yrs as a tire builder and mold engineer as well my father at 44yrs.But I have run some Nittos and like those as well, running a set of Dune Grapplers on my F150 now.
So when dad retired he suddenly got tight in the wallet and decided to try these Coopers.Between the four tires they balanced real well, only a few oz. between them,no lateral pull(normally you can tell right away after having the front lined up).Still new but they are pleasingly quiet considering the lug pattern and so far smooth but a nice firm ride with no mushy sway. And here on the farm they've done pretty damn nice in the mud and sand as well.
So for anyone not wanting to go with a major name and wants a fairly priced tire to consider with Nitto,Toyo etc.,give these a look.
Just throwing them out there

Those look good man, I have them as well on my '13. have run them for about 6K miles now, and very pleased with them, especially considering how reasonably priced they are. I've run them in some light mud (I'm just a 2wd) and they did pretty well, good wet traction too!

Nice review. Thanks for the info. Wish they made that tire in more sizes.

I have about 5K on mine and I'm happy with them. I put them on at the end of winter so I haven't been able to test them in more than 2" of snow

I've had the discoverer AT3 on mine for 7,000 miles or so and I love them so far. Great tire!

I've also got the AT3s on mine. I love the way they look and the way they ride down the road. Did amazing in all the snow we got here last year. I've had some light hydroplaning while driving in the rain where I didn't really feel they should have hydroplaned at all, but other than that, I love my Coopers.

I agree with everyone else. Had a set of ATP's on my F350 and loved them. When the Wranglers wear out i will be putting on Cooper's. Discount tire is where I buy them.

Thanks ! As expensive as tires have gotten over the years I believe it's always good when you come across some good ones to spread the word....even if they aren't from my company.
I believe my dad paid $167 ea.,free shipping from Discount Tire Direct...275/65-18.May be able to find them cheaper elsewhere .
