My 2013 XLT had the jumpseat in it and I scored a console for it from the 'Bay for a good price. The holes DO line up with the jumpseat bracket holes but the console sits way forward; probably a good 6-7" too far forward.

The correct bracket is part number BL3Z-15625A80-B and is listed as 2011-2013 and lists for around $131. I found the 2009-2010 bracket which is part number 9L3Z-15045B34-A for around $100.

Does anyone know what the real difference in these 2 is? I have been searching high and low and can't find any info. I will admit that I did NOT ask the dealer or any of the online parts vendors. You can't go by the pictures - they appear to be the same exploded view just with different part numbers so the only way to tell would be to have the 2 of them side-by-side for comparison or ask someone who knows...

Anyone have any info?

I have a '12. Did the swap but swapped brackets. The jump bracket had holes for extra bolts to anchor to the frame.

Theres no difference other than where the Holes are Located! you can see on your bracket where the Holes for the Console have been Filled, drill them out... Save the money and buy Self Tapping screws, or make new holes with a drill! I did, and it worked out fine for me, like it has for OP in the past as well! Good luck... Have you sat in a truck that came with the a console from the Factory? They're Way too close to the dash as well IMO....

All true. But, jump brackets have extra frame mount bolts. Doesn't really affect putting a console in. But, if you were to put a jump on a console bracket, it could be a safety issue. They are two different parts.

Yes, the jump seat mounting bracket is beefier than the console bracket. Likes others have said. The hole location for the console are molded in the jump seat bracket. I drilled out those holes, and tapped them with the bolts that were for the jump seat. All worked well. The bolts have a very coarse thread pitch, and cut into the aluminum bracket with a little WD40. The console mount is very solid. No need to goto the hardware store for new bolts.

Thanks all for the feedback. The brackets that I mentioned in the OP are console (not jumpseat) brackets from 2 different sets of years; neither of them is the jumpseat bracket, so my original question still stands - does anyone know the difference between those two sets of console brackets?

I have not been in one that had a factory installed console, other than the flow through that goes from the dash all the way into the back seat. I can say that there is a locating pin on the jumpseat bracket that does line up with a hole on the console and if placed there, 2 of the 4 holes do line up, but as I (and [MENTION=118343]Toddman34[/MENTION]) said, it is WAY too far forward and close to the dash. I guess I need to look around for pics of a factory installed console to see what it looks like.

Either way, it seems I will be fabricating brackets to move the console back to the position I think it should be in...

I just went on Ford's site and got a pic of what it looks like when it is factory installed and it does not sit as far forward as it will if I bolt it in using the jumpseat bracket.

Lunchbox.... When I installed my Console, I only used the front holes on stock bracket. Then added a piece of scrap stock metal I had to secure the rear hole on the console You can see it sits about 6" away from the dash. Which is perfect for me as Im 6'1", any closer to the dash and my elbow would be in the rear cupholder...

The Console is very Secure using only the front holes on the stock bracket, and does not budge...

That looks like it is in the "right" position to me... I don't think yours is too far forward. I will have to test it in different positions to see what holes line up but it seems your idea of brackets to make holes line up is the same idea that I had in mind.

If anyone is interested, I could take some pics and post (when I get the time to actually do the job).
