I have been following this thread for a while. I have also decided on the Rancho 4in Kit. I dont think I got a bad deal. Its totalling $6400.00

I got the Kit with the RS9000's
20X9 Fuel Hostages
Toyo Open Country M/T 35X12.50R20
Line X Bed Liner
KC Light Bar
4 KC Slim Lights w/harnesses
NFab Steps.

I will be installing the Light Bar, Lights and Steps.

They are taking care of everything else ( I am very mechanically inclined but did not have the B@ll$ to cut into my truck, its only got 1200 miles on it Ha). It will be done next Wednesday as I cannot get out of work to get my truck up there until Monday. They will start it first thing Tuesday. I really excited and I will be posting pics when its done. You guys have some great looking trucks.

Yeah I think you got a pretty good deal! I came in at just under $5300 for just the lift, tires, and wheels installed (had to pay more on the wheels than I planned since I had to pay taxes locally since there were only 25 sets of what I wanted arriving in the country at the time). Sold my 34.5" trail grapplers and stock wheels for a little over $1000 and then the Rancho $400 rebate made it not too bad!

I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar issue to what I've been dealing with. When you assemble the front struts, the directions called for having the plastic Ford dust tube installed. My shop did this, but the passenger side plastic dust tube rubbed the shock body slightly but enough to cause an annoying *** squeaking. The driver's side was really close, but not quite touching. Took the truck back to the shop after talking to Rancho to have them check everything for tightness etc. Rancho said if everything looked right and felt tight, maybe trimming a small amount of the plastic to keep it from contacting (saw several other people on the forum that had done this as well on leveled and stock trucks). So the shop trimmed some but as soon as I got home, it was still doing it. Another call to Rancho the next day, and they recommended just removing the plastic boot as their quicklift struts don't come with a boot and won't hurt anything. Well this would require disassembling everything again to remove them so I decided to get rid of them myself. It's a gigantic pain in the *** to do bc it's inside the coil. So I used a trick pipe fitter at work showed me while trying to cut some PVC in a tight spot. Used nylon string wrapped around the plastic cylinder and sawed back and forth until it cut all the way through. Worked perfectly! No squeaking so far. Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this. I've found quite a few instances on the forum where some have cracked or are just deformed slightly. I think the larger shock body of these RS9000s made it worse since it reduced the initial clearances between the oem shock and this plastic boot.

UARandy, I haven't had any squeaking issues. I will have to look later today how everything is assembled.

Do you guys just go ahead and remove your spare once you are lifted. I mean there is really no way to use it even to limp to get a flat fixed is there.

Haha the anticipation was rough from the time I placed my order until I had everything installed on the truck. It's well worth it though. Also, what are the specs on your truck?

I haven't removed mine yet, but have been thinking about it and just haven't had time. I don't think it will do much good. If you had a rear blow out, I would assume you'd move a front tire to the back and stick the spare up front. I don't know how well that would work being lifted and on 35s. And with 10-ply load range E tires, I don't think a blowout is as likely as with thinner tires. I suppose my "plan" would be to call for a tow. This is a good question, and I'm interested to see what others are doing.

I've not had a chance to look myself yet, but has anyone been able to stuff a 35" spare in place of the factory spare?

I guess that would help. HA

Its a

2013 F150 Loaded FX4 SCREW 5.0 Sterling Grey. I opted for the 18in wheels because I knew that I would be replacing them. Also didnt get the Nav (cell phone works well).

I agree that these tires are much stronger and dont worry about a blowout. My mind was just wandering. HA.

As far as the spare???? Im not sure. I mean the Raptor Tire is a 35X12.50. Ill have to check my buddies truck. He has a 13 Raptor. Ill keep mine in place JIC. You never know and you could at least use it to get the truck back on the ground while you get a tire repaired. Even if you dont drive it.
