At the end of the day all that matters is that you have an idea. You just got to try it out and see if it works. Get a before reading then add you mod and get an after reading. If it works, fantastic! Then do a write up and possibly a drawing explaining where u put the resistors.

Seems a simple fix, Ford could create a simple add in plugged splice at the evaporator with the correct resistor in it and Bam! all taken care of!

Some one could make some serious bucks by making this simple pigtail, with a resistor to lower temps 4-6 degrees!

Of course, mine is free for the idea!

Default Compressor cycling fix

I'm still confused as to why adding this stops the compressor cycle. If you set it to where the temp read by the computer was just a few degrees warmer, wouldn't it just run until it reached its cut-off temp? Or does this hack only show a constant temp?

By using a resister in parallel, the total resistance is lowered. So the control system thinks the evaporator is warmer. So the compressor must run longer to cool the evaporator a little more. The thermistor is still in the circuit so the control system will still work but it should keep the evaporator at a lower average temperature.
I'm supposed to get my A/C checked (with gauges) next week. It may just be low. If it does not help, I'll try the 'hack'.

Unless you are in a 15, because these guys are reporting theirs are working fine, you are not going to see temps (without the hack) below about 43 in a 13 or below..

If I new where to get the plug ends I would for sure build a pigtail. Any ideas on the plug ends?

Hmm let me see, some time ago I found a catalogue that had OEM car manufactures plugs in it.

Maybe we can send these guys a picture? and they can help...http://www.repairconnector.com/categ...NG-CONNECTORS/
