He has the compass in the gauge cluster. I loaded his ICM As Builts into my truck (I think only 1 digit was different) and I still didn't have the compass. Also, folks who have done a cluster swap have gotten the compass, so I'm pretty sure it's in the firmware of the cluster.

My 720-01-01 is FFDE 7035 822D

I went through Forscan and changed one option at a time in the ICM and saved each file. Then compared them with the As Built compare program and deciphered some of the ICM codes. I don't have the results with me, but I posted it in the Forscan thread.
Yeah, I don't think it works unless you have a '13 or '14... I was bored at work today so I decided to try and decipher the ICM, using gthrift's spreadsheet and some other VINs.

Got it working on 2014 F150 Lariat's truck... He will post back here once he's sure we didn't disable something we shouldn't have...

Thanks again for the help, RaptoRx7, I am very close to unlocking the compass. Right now i have it on my dash but I can't seem to configure it. I drove in circles for a while but it didn't seem to calibrate.

I just installed the exact same cluster in my 14 STX as the one pictured above. Knowing exactly what to change in the cluster would be great.

As per RaptorRx7's advice, I changed the following:

ICM
720-01-01
FF5E 7038 82xx

I changed FF5F to FF9E and it unlocked the compass. However, I still am yet to calibrate it, but will try again tomorrow.

Thanks again, Raptor! I will update the thread as things evolve

That's awesome! So when you had FF5E, you only had 2 screens where the compass is, but now you have 3? I'll try changing my 2012 from FFDE to FF9E just to see what happens.

It'll be interesting to see if that works for the '11 and '12 guys. If it wasn't a winter wonderland out right now I'd try it myself.

That is exactly correct! Good luck, post back your results!

On my 2011 Platinum, changing the above values did not enable compass, so it looks like the 11-12 guys will need a cluster firmware update first. I will revert it back now. For what it is worth, it looks like Forscan may be able to flash firmware updates in future versions, so there is always hope lol.
