Compare OEM & Sylvania Silverstar Ultras
I replaced my headlight bulbs with Sylvania Silverstar Ultras and the fog light 9140 bulbs with Silverstar 9145s. I took a set of before and after pics in front of the garage, out on a 2 lane highway and way out in the country.
All these pics were taken from the same parked position, same time of night (the next night), same camera.
Country - OEM Low beams only
Country - OEM Low beams & fog lights
Country - OEM High Beams only
Country - SSU High beams only
Country - SSU Low beams only
Country - SSU Low beams & fog lights
Highway - OEM Low beams only
Highway - OEM Lowbeams & Fog lights
Highway - OEM High beams only
I have to put the SSU Highway pics in another thread.

I took a set of pics OEM & SSU shining on the garage door. But I didn't see enough difference between them to warrant posting.

Is Ford just cheaping out to save a buck? Or are these aftermarket headlight options blinding oncoming traffic, and in the name of safety, Ford is providing these fairly lame, stock lights?
For me, I wouldn't mind brighter lights. But I don't want to be 'that guy' blinding oncoming traffic like the ricer/euro blue light crowd.

I think that's a huge difference. How much do these cost? Are people flashing you now thinking you have your brights on?

they seem to be a big improvement on most vehicles you put these in. I personally have these in my truck and are great. I use them in my headlights and fogs, never been flashed. They run anywhere from 30 bucks on ebay to 50 at your auto parts store
