Color Crisis! White vs. Sterling, which would you choose?
OK I've decided on a new FX4, 5.0, supercrew w/5.5ft bed. I cannot decide on the color. I never thought it would be this difficult. It is easy to find identical trucks at identical prices with the options I want, so that isn't helping me make the decision. I see a white truck and think "oh yeah that looks nice, and it won't show any scratches or anything". Then I see a sterling truck and think "oh that's just beautiful, and it's somewhat more understated, and won't look as dirty!" (I wash my vehicles as rarely as possible...).
I keep going back and forth and now I'm all set to buy but still cannot decide. I'd like to hear some opinions. Obviously this is all a matter of personal preference, but it helps to talk things out...
What would you choose/did you choose? Pros, cons, ideas, etc?

I would've chosen white, but my sterling gray was a helluva deal!
I think it all depends on what you plan on doing with it. I think black wheels look great on either color, but chrome looks much better on white.

I'm not a big fan of chrome really. Plans are to keep the stock wheels, level the front out, 33" Duratracs, tint the front windows, and eventually add a camper shell.

I hate to say, another thing to consider, if life ever takes a dump on your truck, an you're in a car accident, blending the metallic in the gray can be a PITA. My wife has a sterling gray focus, rear ended someone, and the paint turned out nicely. But not everyone will be as lucky as I.

haha good question! i just raded in my 2009 white supercrew 4x4 lariat for a 2012 sterling grey supercrew 4x4 fx4. typically i like all my cars/trucks white but they did not have with options i wanted so i got the grey fx4. it's really growing on me. i love it...

Personally, I like the white fx4 over sterling grey.. I just like the smoked heads and tails on white!
