Default CNG Ecoboost

I tried to search this topic, but couldnt find any previous posts. Has anyone tried to convert ecoboost to CNG or have any experience with the process? I know there are issues with PSI, Direct injection, etc, but someone must know if this is possible. I'm in Oklahoma and around here CNG is the economy and the future of energy.

It would be interesting, for sure. CNG has an octane rating of over 130, so a tuner could definitely find some easy hp.

Google is your friend.

http://www.transecoenergy.com/pages/CNG_Conversions.htm

FWIW, my company car was a Chevy 1500, CNG only, truck back in 2000, so it is nothing new. The big, black, fiberglass covered tank in the bed did take up some room. We had a fueling station 2 miles from our workplace.

It ran fine, the company mechanics said that the oil stayed cleaner than with gas.

Cool stuff. I wonder why this has never really taken off in Western Canada yet. We have a MASSIVE surplus of natural gas, we all drive trucks, there is no public transit, and gas is stupid expensive in Canada.
Seems like CNG should have caught on long ago.
