Default Club Cab rear headrests

Ok I've tried everything.....How in the world do you remove the rear headrests on a 2010 club cab?????

What's a club cab? They have a super cab (suicide rear half doors) and crew cab (4 full size doors).

search for a youtube on how to remove the rear seat back - there's a black plastic latch on each side just above the child restraint anchors that you have to push out of the way, but it's a pita .... once you clear that latch the back comes up and off that way you can remove the headrests

i took my whole rear seat out and built in a custom shelf back there - I never have backseat passengers, and there's a ton of space without the cushions

Just simply lift the seat bottoms part if the way up. this will cause the seat back to lean slightly forward. Then just pull. They will come off. You do not need to remove or lower the rear seat.

Not in a super cab. In trying to pull the head rests off I found that the vertical seat portion is fastened to the cab wall as Cowpig said. Which was why I was having so much trouble.

correct. my old scab was like this.

I now have a screw now and that method works.
