This almost sounds like the Generic Electronic Module that got wet from leaking windshield on my '02. Same kind of crazy acting fan issues, but surely Ford has fixed the leaking windshield problem by now??

So your blower motor totally quit as well and a replacement resistor fixed the issue?

At first it would act erratic sometimes working fine and sometimes on full blast no matter the setting. Then is quit all together and I finally took it in for repair. They replaced the resister and now it works fine.

OK good to know. Ironically mine decided to work on the drive home. So it must be the resistor (again). It was replaced under warranty a little over a year ago. I'll get the part at a parts store and do the repair myself this time.

My truck has been doing this for a couple of months. Does anyone know the part number? Or can I get one from a local part store? Truck is a 09 fx4 crew. Thanks.

I just replaced mine last week and saved the wrapper. I guess this is why. You can order it on Amazon for 38 bucks. On the package:

YH-1829
BL3Z-19E624-A
CONTROL
the barcode reads: 3150860038

It takes about 10 minutes to install. Drop your glovebox, and you'll see it in there. Reach in from UNDER the glovebox for easiest access. Taking the second screw out is the hardest part. If you have any questions, PM me and I can walk you through it.

Just fixed mine. It was not the cheap one. The one I got ws from standard #RU573. This one is for the dual zone climat control.

I have the same question as for part numbers as my fans on my 09 Lariat are stuck on high for the past couple days and need to figure out how to fix before it starts getting cold. And I have the dual zone as well so don't know if that would be a different part number. Thanks.
