Aloha, happy weekend to all.

As the title suggests my 11 ecobooost Lariat started giving me a clicking noise coming from the dashboard area during startup.... Not every start up but I've noticed it 3 or 4 times today.

Any ideas on what the cause may be.

Mine made a clicking noise in or under the dash when I turned the air on. Would make it when started if the air was turned to on. Turned out to be the gear and arm that opened a door in the air conditioner. Was repaired by the dealer under warranty, and no problem since.

same on my 08. blend door actuator failed. apparently quite common - there is a tsb..unsure about the '11, but probably an actuator failing (or failed)
