Default Cleaning inside rear window

First off I will start by saying I did a search and could not find anything on this. My question is how do you clean the inside of the rear window of a super crew? I tried to take the headrests off to no avail. It is too small for me to get my hands behind the headrest. I don't think the dealer knows how either based on how they looked when I picked up the truck.

If you put the seat bottoms up, the headrests will be a little further away from the window Ans be a little easier to remove. You still have to pull forward a bit but the do come out. I hope this helps.

J forgot to mention that I do believe that there is a button for each post (2 buttons per headrest).

There is a latch on the back of each side of the rear seat. Its a pain to get to. I added para cord to mine so that I can fold the rear seat down. Do a search in how to fold the rear seat down. That will solve your problem.

I did mine with no problem just by pulling the headrests out.

Thanks for the info. I tried to find it in the owners manual, but it really did not mention anything. One part showed headrests that fold down with a button on the side. I figured that the Platinum would have it, but it does not.

Don't know about the Platinum, but the buttons on my headrests aren't to fold them, it's to move them up/down.

Just cleaned mine, to fold the entire seatback down, put the seat bottom in the upright position, that gives you an inch of space between the seatback and the wall. On the drivers side reach down behind the seatback about 4 inches in and down from the end and feel around on bracket attatched to the seatback. On the inboard side of that bracket you will feel a small pin or peg sticking out, raise up on it and it will release the latch and the whole seatback will be free to fold down (well free from wall, you have to then put the bottom down and you will say cool success!! ). Same on the other side. When you go to put it up and back in place make sure the small sliding rod that the latch catches on the bracket attatched to the wall is lined up with the small yellow or green pen marks on it and it will latch in place with minimal effort. If that sliding rod is not on the green/yellow marks it will not lineup and not latch. The sliding rod on wall bracket tends to move up in it's track when you lift the peg on seat bracket to release the latch, so you have to put it back to the right poistion in the track for the latch to catch it before trying to latch the seatback in place. Easy, but takes a bit to figure it out. Once you do it you know what to do the next time.

^^^ I did that to hide tools and an ice scraper behind the seats a few weeks ago.
