Default Cleaning exhaust tips

I I've been cleaning my truck while working at a truck wash and was wondering what everyone uses or does to clean there exhaust tips. Where I work we use comet to clean smoke stacks and chrome pipes. Any ideas? Mine are pretty dirty

I'd suggest Barkeepers Friend. It contains oxalic acid which is non-abrasive.

I think it will do just as good of a job as Comet or Ajax and you won't have to worry about scratching the surface.

I've used it on chrome, stainless steel, etc. and it does a great job.
