Tune for sure. Lots of options. I prefer MPT but 5 star, livernois and omega all receive good reviews as well. Some 4.10 gears would really give you that down low grunt back for sure! I don't like giving too much advice on what people do but if you don't see yourself spending time above 6000 RPMs the boss intake really isn't worth it.

No worries, I definitely appreciate that advice. I'll look into a tuner. I planned on getting and SCT in the future anyway

YOU SIR, are the only other person than me that has said that about the Roush. Lost power and fuel mileage both on mine. I couldn't handle the amount of noise out of that excuse for an exhaust, so I know it wasn't from putting my foot in it. Got power and mileage back by going to a quality system.

Check out the SCTX4 and Omega Tune. Put some high octane or E85 in it and you'll have a night and day difference over stock. More significant over the Boss intake. Most that get the most out of that have dumped thousands into other mods too.

What system did you go too after the roush? It does have a lot of drone....and I only run 91 octane in my truck. It's readily available near me and I don't mind spending the extra money, I have a company vehicle so I only drive the truck on the weekends. I plan on a 91 octane tune, just not sure which one yet

I have a Solo Mach X Dual exhaust. Jonhday (above) had the Roush and now has the Borla S Type that he has given great praise about.

With the Omega Tune, it covers all octanes. No switching. One and done. They only recommend doing a KAM reset and not going WOT for about 20 miles after. Extremely responsive guy (Ken Osborne) who use to work for MPT.
