Hopefully as result of eco headaches, Ford will be offering a next generation "Coyote II" V8 302 in 2015 with direct injection and other horsepower and mileage improvements.

That would be nice but first they need to get the oil consumption issues and knocking issues hammered out on the 5.0 it has its share of headaches. Ford just needs to get both motors dialed in and everyone will be happy. . Then again it took them some time to get the 5.4 dialed In

Would not be a first for an older design to be the go to motor.
It is based on history and why currente Ford engineers gave the Coyote V8 its name. At the Indy 500, after the more advanced, problematic motor, indy racer was parked, the "Coyote Special" backup car was rolled out and no less than AJ Foyt won the Indy 500 with it.
Could be Ford enginers know something and history is repeating itself.

Long live the Coyote V8.

Angry F-150 2011 ECOBOOST is going to get someone killed b4 FORD does anything

Wow, we are back... Went to South Dakota, almost died trying to get on the highway many times. I guess up North there is a lot more humidity which caused my truck to run like SH** all the way back to TX(pedal to the floor and it would stay in the same speed as well as sucked all the gas {1/4 tank in an hour}). It does that in TEXAS too but only after it rains. FORD really, can you acknowledge your error on the new Eco boosts:cen sored: engines before someone gets killed!!!! We will call Mr. Bermans but we already spoke w/ several lawyers and they are not offering much help. We are pretty much SCREWED until FORD has a recall!!!

So during your trip there must have been dozens of dealers along the way. Did you stop at any of them? What did they say?

Hi rayray71,

If you've retained the service of an attorney, I won't be able to assist; if you have not gone that route, send me your information in a PM so I can do what I can to help. I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

Thanks!

Crystal
