Default Chrome valve stem caps for 13 f150 tpms

Will these fit our trucks that have tpms and have the long plastic caps? If not has anyone found some that will fit out trucks? If you just put a regular cap on it, it's to short. My truck is a 13 f150 4x4 with the chrome 18s.

I have the same ones. You have to cut off the very tip of the part that slides over the rubber section in order to slide it all the way on. 10 seconds with a dremel.

I had to get some specifically made to fit the tpms stem, the brass end under the cap won't allow a regular sleeve unless you cut them.

The sleeves and caps should be chromed plastic so that there is no interference with the TPMS signal. *A plastic cap also means no corrosion on the end of the valve stem.

My only advice, Do not use any metal valve covers.

Last time I did, It ended up costing me $400 to replace all the TPM sensors, as the valve cover chemically welded to the valve due to the dissimilar metals being used.
No matter how hard I or the tire dealer tried, the cover was not coming off. They ended up having to cut the valve to replace them.

Hmmmmm. Maybe I will just leave my plastic ones alone. Can you buy them in plastic chrome?

the sensor can be removed from the valve stem, and the stems are sold seperately. they're like $12 a piece. you shouldn't have had to replace the sensors.

That was on my 2010 Mustang, The factory TPMS came as an all-in-one unit unfortunately! The tire dealer replaced them with the new two part units. Not sure why Ford thought that was a good idea! they were $60 each with $20 per tire labor.

Suzuki14258 ... Can you buy them in plastic chrome?
Back in 2010 I found chrome plastic sleeves and caps on ebay ...

*Don't recall the seller's ID.

I agree, same happened on my 07 Ranger, I replaced the factory caps with nice blue anodized chrome ones, after one winter, I went to replace replace the worn out winter tires with new ones and and had to cut off all 4 stems, i tried 2 sets of pliers, one gripping the stem, and one on the cap...... just ended up a mangled mess.

Should have known better after years of dealing with Truck drivers too cheap to buy all aluminum rims for their rigs, instead, leaving a steel rim inside, and aluminum outside and then too cheap to buy the $4 plastic shield for between the rims...... hard to believe you can loosen all the lugs on all 4 sets of duals on a semi, and drive 40km/h in the parking lot, lock up the brakes and the rims still won't seperate....
