Default Chrome on Top Half of Mirrors

I see that a version of the F150, Lariat I think, has a chrome top half piece on the mirror. The mirror looks identical to the standard black mirrors on the XLT. Can anyone confirm that? Also, where could I get just that piece? It seems to be something that I could just snap on in place of the old non chromed part.

I have a 2010 Lariat with the chrome pkg that includes those mirrors. I always use fordparts.com to locate OEM parts. You might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else, but I like to know that I have the parts from the factory. Good luck.

You can get the piece from Tasca Ford for fairly cheap.

TASCA is the cheapest. I think I paid $75 shipped vs. $110 at the dealer. Be careful removing the mirror as I broke mine in the process. Start with the passenger side as it's the cheaper one.

My XLT w/chrome package came w/black but told the dealer I wanted the chrome tops, so they changed it.
They do have a full chrome add-on piece that covers the whole front side of mirror, but I thought it was a little to much chrome.

You can get that top chrome piece off Ebay for $49.99 shipped. I saw one last night.

Just pull the mirror glass off (there's a thread that shows you how) and pop out the tabs. Comes right off. Can replace with the stock black ones either from the dealer or TASCA. Someone may want to make a trade with you as well.
