Default Chrome door handles

Has anyone tried to use black vinyl to cover the chrome part of the XLT door handle? If so how did they turn out and how is it holding up. Pics would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I've also been wondering about this. I've looked at the 3M Matte Black Scotchprint and have been contemplating trying it on my handles. I'm wondering how well the matte black would match up to the buckets - I know it won't be perfect, but would it be close enough?

Chrome door handles don't look bad but the stick on chrome door handle buckets are hideous.

What ya talking about when you say door handle buckets? What is that?
What do your chrome handles look like. My handles are all black, but I would like to have it chrome. Do you have a picture to share?

The latch is the part you pull. The bucket is the piece underneath it.

Here's my truck on the beach when I had both the latch and buckets chromed. The buckets are now black.
