Recently purchased a 2012 fx4 f150 and when I bought it came with door handle and mirror chrome plastic cover stuck on them. One of the features I like the fx4 package is because of the matching bumpers, door handles, and mirrors Does anyone know how to remove these without damaging the pant? I have tried multiple times to upload photos but it won't let me from my phone ? Any ideas? ~ Nvm it did put the photos on~

Both are applied with double sided tape so it's just a matter of prying. Heating up the immediate area with a blow dryer or heat gun may help make the tape loosen up.
Those mirror caps are a pain the get off. I resorted to taking a Dremel to them and slicing/dicing.

heat up the chrome with a heat gun and gently start prying. If you can peel it back enough to spray some WD-40 back in there, they will come off easily as the WD will break down the adhesive.
Sorry that someone molested an FX4 with cheap stick-on chrome garbage and made it inconvenient for you. Some people have no taste.

Guy,
Hardcore I don't have a heat gun, but my wife has a pretty pink blow dryer that did the trick! Few seconds on the heat and practically fell off thank a lot. IMHO the truck look much much better. And since I was working on it I went ahead and gave it a bath which should last about 45 minutes until the rain starts but hey I can wash it again.

looks so much better! That stick on chrome is so tacky, especially on an FX4 where someone typically likes the look of paint to match parts ??? At least that chrome kept your mirror caps and handles clean and safe from debris lol!

I agree with the new look. The stick on chrome looks pretty weak to me, especially up close. I like chrome accents for my ride, but I keep it OEM with the mirror caps, factory chrome door pulls, and chrome tow hooks (front and rear). No stick on chrome fender flares, wind deflectors, B pillar decals, etc...it's just not for me.
If I had an FX series I'd pass on the chrome and opt for gray or blackout mods.
