Right. If I had known about what you bought, I could have saved myself some time and money. I had bought the FX2/4 grille, which is like yours, and had the surround PTMed. That grille comes in two pieces. Next, I bought a chrome "C" clamp and removed the grille from the surround, plastidipped the mesh black, reassembled the grille, and put it in the PTMed surround. Then sold the blak grille with a chrome surround.
If I knew then, what I know now, I would have just bought the FX gille and used those covers like you did.
Live and learn I guess. Notice that horizontal bars you bought are two piece, when the OEM chrome one is one piece with the blue oval. That's why I said those covers wouldn't work for the OP.
Here's a photo of what I wound up with.
Hope I didn't hijack, but I thought an explanation was in order.

Kijiji special down near the French River trading post, that was about a year ago and I'm pretty sure she's got none left. I've got one of them on my truck, the other I'm trying to strip down so it can be PTM. Once I get the PTM one on my truck I can get rid of the one that's chrome. PM me if interested.
