New grille, or new painted finish. The other option is just to replace the center section of the grille if your surround is still good. I picked up two grilles with bad surrounds but mint center sections for $50 each.

If it were me, I'd plastidip it a different color(probably black, or match the truck) as I looked for a new one

Your the only one who will notice it.

Hit it with chrome spray paint or nail polish or paint the insert another color. Can't repair or re chrome that plastic

This is what you need. I used this, but mine is black. Plastidiped mine and it's as good as new.

Your stock grille was a black "C" clamp? I think those overlays are for one like yours. I can't see how it would work on the chrome 'C" clamp.

OP, if you could find that grille off a wrecked truck, you could easily remove your chrome strips and replace it with the salvaged one. That grille will run you around $380 at Fairway Ford, IIRC. I bought one earlier this year.
