Cherry Bomb Glasspack for 2010????
I'm not an auto mechanic by any means, and when it comes to mods, upgrades, addons, etc, I'm terrible.
With that being said, I've seen a few vidoes of the cherry bomb glasspacks added to a few f150s. The question I have is, I haven't seen any added to anything past a 2007. I have looked on Amazon and Ebay, but when I add my 2010 XLT 4.7 to the compatibility list, every cherrybomb glasspack gets taken off. Is there an issue with the compatibility with this year truck and the glasspacks?? Any suggestions on what I can do would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Don't quote me on this, I'm just speculating here with the following. I'm not sure any fiberglass filled muffler is really relevant with today's trucks and cars because they blow out/ burn out much faster than in the past due to more efficient engines creating much more power resulting in far higher exhaust temps. Chambered high flow mufflers are the best option these days. (I reckon)
I had a set of stainless glass packs welded into my previous pickup, a 2006 F150 5.4L. The glass packs seriously blew out the packing before 6 months. What was a really cool sounding true dual exhaust when it first was installed turned into a stupid-loud drone wagon.
This is still all speculation, so my experience could have been just an isolated problem?

Just a guess, but I think the factory muffler has an offset and the glasspack is straight so I would think it wouldn't be a direct fit.

My 1977 has had Cherry Bombs on it since 1978. It sounds right for the truck....I don't think they go with modern trucks very well, though.

There are no tailpipes coming out the back of my truck, this pipe ends right before the rear axle. It is a nice throaty sound, but quiet at highway cruising speeds...just a little exhaust sound since it is right under the rear of the cab.
