Wouldn't the packing of the air bag present an issue ? Isn't there a certification required for that ?

There's a reason why the stripe on the steering wheel is a bright color. It's not just bling if you race/drive hard and know why it's there.


The airbag is installed as a single unit. You can move it to another steering wheel w/o issues. Once the airbag deploys, then you replace it with a new one. I don't know if you can repack an airbag unit after it's deployed. You definitely want to be VERY careful handling an airbag.
