Changing Headlight Bulbs - PITA
#12
Yeah, I agree with you AppDawg. Not since the days of sealed beams have I had to remove the headlight assembly to replace bulbs. Seems like a step backwards. Kind of like if you had to remove the wheels to put air in the tires.
Having said that, I've found that stock bulbs seem to last forever now on vehicles. I've gone sometimes 5 years without having to change a single bulb.

You want PITA? Get a VW. I wasn't happy when I looked at the F150 heads to swap a bulb, but I'll take 3 bolts and tug any day compared to my Jetta. You have to take the headlights out on that too, but to remove the heads you have to take off the bumper cover. That sucks!

Funny thing is everyone complains about how hard it is to change the head light bulb, but in the end they still do it just to upgrade from stock. Not all upgrades are easy if it was than every joe would have $1000 and $1000 of dollars into there car/truck. They make things harder so you spend more at a shop to have your car/truck the way you want it. Just my 2 cents worth
