Default Center Seat/ Console Latch Replacement

There is a guy out of Nebraska on Ebay that is now making these latches with a 3-D printer. The price of the latch is $44 USD. Here are the links below:

1.) Gray Latch - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-L...53.m2749.l2649

2.) Black Latch - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-L...5Y0bKs&vxp=mtr

3.) Tan Latch - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F-150-L...VZdW7n&vxp=mtr

I broke my latch about a year ago on my 2012 XLT and couldn't bring myself to purchase the entire lid assembly from Ford for $175.00 + shipping. Glad I held out.

You can also buy the lid asembly from Ford instead of the entire console/center seat. Part number# BL3Z-18644A22-AB for Gray
BL3Z-18644A22-AA for Tan
BL3Z-18644A22-BA for Black
They cost $175 to $260 USD new.

that is an interesting post. I too was not paying $200+ for a simple latch. Still don't know how you would get the new latch installed? It doesn't just snap in there.

The latch can be replaced as long as the two ports in the lid assembly are preserved. The broken latch will slide out by forcing it left or right of center and then prying down. I have the replacement latch on my lid now. The installation was easy and it is keeping my lid closed when the middle seat is being used. Below is a link to guy who makes the latch showing how to install it.
