Center console hinge spring
14 F150 Lariat 2wd super-crew ecoroost
The center console hinge spring has broken. Ford only offers a whole lid assembly for $300. Does anyone know of a fix or less expensive option for repair?

Boost :)
Call around and find a junkyard. I'm sure there are some around somewhere. The lid is the same from 09 all the way through 14 so you should just be able to buy the whole thing from a yard and then pull out the hinge.

what are you looking for help with? As suggested earlier in the thread, call around to local scrap yards or look on eBay for the entire assembly.
Otherwise, disassemble your broken setup and take the what’s left of the spring to local hardware and auto parts stores and see if they can match something up.
You have also not supplied pictures or any detail on what/how the spring is broken - nobody can help with at-home repairs if they don’t know what’s actually broken.
