Here is my setup. I bought this Steelie Car Mount Kit from
Amazon.com: Nite Ize STCK-11-R8 Steelie Car Mount Kit for Cellphones - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories
.Then I made a little L bracket out of some scrap metal, and unscrewed the left top radio mount screw and replaced it with a longer screw and drilled a hole through the L bracket and then screwed the bracket to the top of the radio. Then I mounted the steelie mount to the bracket. I stuck the other half of the mount to my otterbox case. It holds perfect even through the summer heat. I have no interference from the magnet either.
For the rest of the install I ran my USB charging cable under the trim piece to the left of the nav unit down to the cavity behind the trim piece under the sync logo. Then I bought this USB Connector Adapter Car Charger 12V to 5V from . Then I wired that into the cigarette lighter, plugged in my USB cable and stuffed it all in the cavity behind the trim piece. The entire system works perfectly and is nice and clean. I took the pictures with my phone which is why you only see the case, but I think you can get the idea of what it looks like.

I use the panavise linked in the first post and a Tylt Vu wireless charger. The charger is not a standard micro usb so it's plugged into the lower 12v socket and the cord is run behind the dash and comes out right behind the mount. It looks very clean.
This is the 3rd panavise mount that I've used and it's great.
I can post more pictures if anyone is interested.

I have removed my jumpseat headrest and would like to find a post to hold mobile device that fits into the headrest post. Does anyone know of place to find something like that? Be nice to have iPad sitting right there at the end of hand while driving.

My Livewire TS is on a Proclip ball mount.
My iPhone 6s Plus is on an inexpensive mag mount from Amazon....found here:
Takes up very little dash space, and unlike the steelie, nothing protrudes off the back of the phone. It's strong enough to work through the thicker cases, and the phone doesn't shift.

I installed this mount the other day and it's my favourite so far. One handed operation, fits larger phones, usb charging and doesn't require any modification to my phone or case. The gooseneck is pretty stiff so there's no sag, droop or excessive vibration while driving. Cost about $10.

I just got the Scosche magic mount for my iphone 6 and could not be happier with it. I saw one of the other members mention it. There is no charging, but I used to have a windshield gooseneck that shook too much.
I was not too happy about putting the 3m adhesive on my dash - but I have used goo gone multiple times. The magnet has not dropped my phone yet (I am a "spirited"driver)
