door rattle as if its not shut 100%??!??
NEW TO ME 2012 FX4 supercab AND i NOTICE A driver DOOR RATTLE ON BUMPS....SORTA SOUNDS IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR DOOR SHUT TIGHT...TO ME APPEARS as if the doors are flexing up and down rattle on the latch. Looking at the latch and seeing here the electric tape trick I dont see any wear on that latch...
any idea of how to stop this? Im thinking I will try the tape trick anyways and report back but I always opening and shutting again as I think my door not securely latched 100% Im assuming cause is just wear and usage as the drive door gets used 100% of the time so to speak.
Thank you all.

When I had a door rattle it was because part of my window inside my door had come loose. I tightened the bolt and it's been fine ever since.
But that was just my particular issue.

I solved this problem by closing the scab door a little harder.

I had a similar problem with my old S-10. Turned out to be the pins and bushings used in the door hinge.
If you open the door and have a friend lift it up and down while you look at the hinge, you can see if it is moving around the pin. In my S-10 this was a very simple fix and took maybe 20 minutes and a friend to hold the door.
Good luck!

i had what i thought was the same issue. ended up being the drivers side nerf bar mounting bolts were loose, ended up replacing all the bolts on both sides and havent heard the noise since.

If I grab the top of my driver side rear scab door I can pull/push and feel it move. If I open the rear door then grab the top of the door and close it forcefully then shake it, it does not move and does not rattle. ...sucks. so either slam the door closed or grab the top of the door and close it firmly.

Mine clunks/rattles on the passenger side, even after slamming it hard. I stuff a rolled up blanket between the rear seat and door and it is silent now. Someday I might try to figure out how to adjust the latches to hold the doors in tighter.
