Default Cargo Light/Keypad Issue

My 2002 F150 Harley Screw has recently begun to have an issue with the cargo light and keyless entry pad. After I lock the truck it usually lights the cargo/interior lights and they shut off normally but lately the cargo/interior lights have been coming on and off intermittently. The keypad on drivers door is now malfunctioning as well. It doesn't always activate to the touch. At times the button lights blink rapidly. This problem began when temp was in the 20'searlier this week so I first thought of the battery showing signs of weakness. It tests to be normal voltage. Next thought. A relay maybe? According to the owners manual Relay #14 may be suspect but it is not showing me where to look for the circuit that the keypad is on. Anyone experience this before? I have had this truck less than three weeks and it is a creampuff with 31,000 miles but still, it is 8 years old. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Steve

You do realize of course that you have posted in the 2009 to Present Forum. Might not get too many responses.
