Default Can't decide on Duratrac size

After driving to work in the Central Indiana snowstorm this morning on the stock pirellis, I decided to stop waiting and get my duratracs.

The only thing I can't decide on is size. They will be going on the stock FX 20's, and I'm stuck between

275/65R20

285/60R20

I have an autospring 2 inch level already so both will fit no problem. The 275 is a bigger tire by height but the stock width. the 285 is a bit wider but not as tall.

I can't decide which would look better, and also perform better (and affect mpg the least).

I would go the the 285, it is 33.5 inches tall and will look good being a little bit wider than the stock tires! Duratracs are great tires, you will be very happy!

I also live in central Indiana. Here are my duratracs in size 275/65/20 for comparison. I have a 2" auto spring front and 3" block in rear.

They did great this morning on the bad roads and I live in the country where they hardly ever plow.

I love Duratracs, I run them on my Bronco. Unfortunately Duratracs don't come in a size that I like for my 20" FX4 rims. It's all personal preference but for me the 285/60's aren't tall enough and the 275/65"s aren't wide enough and the 325/60's are too wide

I phoned tire shop up here about Duratracs the other day.
They don't really have a size I want, mainly because I dont want bigger,I never plan on lifting truck.
However he did say that Goodyear is coming out with more sizes for the Duratracs shortly.
I specifically asked about 275/55/20....and he said yes.
Could be blowing smoke up my a..
I cannot understand why tire companies do not have more selection in that tire size as I believe just about all truck manufacturers are using that size...
A fairly aggressive AT in the stock 275/55/20 is hard to come by...

Going to have my local discount tire order the 285/60's for me today. Hopefully get them next week and then find someone to sell my pirellis too

I think the 285x60x20 being a little shorter would have less of a performance hit then the taller 275x65's. The more I see of the Duratrac's the more I like them!
