Question Canned tunes

I'm buying a SCT from a forum member. While I wait for some custom tunes, are the canned tunes even worth uploading? I know they won't give nearly the performance as the custom ones, but should I even bother or am I just wasting my time.

I'm a busy man! LOL Not that busy. I've driven the truck for 60K miles with no tune, if it's not worth uploading, I can wait another week.

I waited 3 days for my MPT tunes to come in. I wanted to see the difference if any from the canned tunes and I liked them. You can set your tire revs and a lot of other little things.

The shift points and throttle response are a lot better with my custom tunes though. I say it's on you

I looked into this as well, and the gist i got was that there's very little different stock to canned, and a big difference stock/canned to custom (mpt, 5star, livernois, etc)

you're probably better off buying the 5star/X4 package deal from stage3 then dealing with buying a used one, unless you can verify it has the same strategy code

Well for the price, I can get the tuner and the tunes for about $100 cheaper buying them separate. And yah I know the custom ones are gonna be best, just didn't know if it was even worth doing the canned ones while I wait.
