I'm not that bad! Just keep it under 120 and roll off the line.

I've also got a 2011 screw XTR 4x4, 5.0, 6.5ft box, 3.55 ls gear ratio and with only 3500 km total I am getting 13.5 L/100km combined on my never reset B gauge. Saw a highway run loaded (with some in town stop and go) from north of Toronto to Ottawa (500 km) at 11.5L/100 km (20.5 mpg US). Very pleased with that. Overall, in town driving sucks it up much faster and towing up to 4000 lbs.(trailer and gear) saw 500 km trips net around 13.5 -13.9 (16.9-17.4 mpg US). Not bad for towing?? I could truly see averaging 16-18 litres per hundred if I drove it the way I'd like to though. Power comes easy, and keeping my foot out of it is the hard part. The sound and acceleration of the 5.0 is quite enjoyable. No regrets not shelling out another $1000 for the Ecoboost. I think you do have to get the 5.0 into the rpm's a little (compared to the Ecoboost), but when you do, you'll love every moment of it.

I am driving the sales managers 2011 F150 Lariat SuperCrew with 5.5' box, 5.0ltr motor. It has the 3.73 gears and rolls on stock 20's. I reset the trip the other day and drove from Whistler BC to Squamish BC which was roughly 60kms and averaged 9.2ltrs/ per 100km on that trip. I am really impressed with it so far. Has lots of power when you want it. I have been doing a lot driving around town this weekend, stop and go and sitting through red lights because of traffic. Right now, it shows a running time of 4:45, 35.7liters used to go 266kms, which is an average of 13.4ltr/100kms. Again I think a third of this is stop and go in town. My truck has a 6.5' box, and the 3.55 gears. Once I get it back from the shop I hope to see these numbers or better in my truck.

2011 fx4 super crew stock with 6000km average from the day i got it is 15L/100km which is more city then highway with a heavy right foot. Did road trip and averaged 11.8 on the highway with no wind and no cruise control at approx 110 - 115km/hr . In Sask. if that counts. No complaints from me!!!

I'm Canadian and I have the 5.0. To get that mileage he'd need to put an egg between his foot and the gas pedal. I can only assume it takes him 20 seconds to get up to city speeds.
