Can you find build schedule with VIN#
Just wondering if you can plug your VIN in and get any info from Ford on build schedule, etc. these days. I've got a VIN#, but nothing else yet from dealer.

http should not have spaces in it, I did that so you can see the entire URL and cut/paste into your browser.

Once you get your Window sticker to appear. Look at the last row of numbers bottom of sticker will have the actual date of the scheduled build. It's the box just to the right of the assembley location.

I don't think this is accurate for my sticker. Have a screw Lariat with Ecoboost and it shows a 12/22/10 date which happens to be the order date. Looked at another sticker VIN for one other truck on order with a different engine and it shows the same date (same as the order date) but this truck is not an Ecoboost.

I guess it can be different but was true for my truck. I had found that information on (blueovalnews) from the folks that build them. That was were I had orginally seen the link posted as well.
If you go to some dealers web page and view window stickers on line they appear to be different. But there is no reason some can't be the same as they build hundreds a day at the different assembley plants.

I just bought a 2011 F150 two weeks ago. I ordered the truck that they had on their website. The sticker has a build date of 12 23 10. I called the dealership last week and they said it was on the railcar. When i bought the truck they gave me a two to three week estimate. Does this seem reasonable?

While I am no expert depending on the distance your dealership is from the factory, sales volume 2-3 weeks can happen. If you are on good terms with your salesperson they can actually tell exactly where the vehicle is, the rail car number is associated with your vin. This is not something they like to get into can be time consuming.
