Issue: Cannot default the My Ford Sync system (without Navigation) to Bluetooth audio

Some users are having an issue with when they turn the ignition on their My Ford Sync system reverts to Line-In even though they were using Bluetooth audio when they turn their vehicle off. They would like to have the system revert back to Bluetooth audio instead of having to go through the menus to be able to get to Bluetooth audio or use the voice commands. A Ford customer service representative FordIVTteam actually joined in the conversation and gave the reason why Ford made this change (as it would previously revert to Bluetooth) and the best method to get back to the source they wanted.

At least I knew I wasn't buying a Tundra. I thought I was buying a truck that would do something and they took it away like the Grinch of Christmas.

It hurts my feelings that I have to Effin keep sayin 'Bluetooth audio' and then it says 'did you say Bluetoof audio?' All I wanna say is 'F$&@ no!' Jesus, Mary, and Joseph! Is there a way to make the a/c & heat dual controlled if I buy a used OEM dash piece for the bigger screen with the dual controls? The sync is coming out and it's going to be on I-30. If anyone in DFW is around, don't follow too close that it hits your truck, just close enough to run the-mother f$&@er over!

That is what is most incredible about it, it defaults to something that when they introduced SYNC, many people were migrating away from using 1/8" audio jacks if the head units had other options.

At the very least, they could have added a button to the dash that allowed you to quickly change between the USB/Bluetooth/Line-In inputs. Even on my '07 Mazda3 (back when Ford still had some ownership of Mazda) I can press one button to select the line in input. I probably don't use half the features of the radio in my truck (and barely use SYNC) because of the number of menus you have to scroll through, which is completely impractical when you're trying to drive.

I love that but what really irks me is when it connects to a phone call to play my music. It's the weirdest thing lol. Or when I say Bluetooth Audio and it says 'No Bluetooth Device'. Mind you this isn't right when I turned the truck on because I know it takes a second for Bluetooth to come up. Sometimes mine just never does...

A slight hijack here: Has anyone had luck with running the Spotify app with SYNC? I'm using the upgraded version but SYNC doesn't recognize it. I have the smaller screen non MFT.

Mine does all of that too. And yeah, press menu hopefully it will show sync at the top after that, then system settings, then you might make it to blue devices before you crash... Then you have to find Connect Device. F@&$ all that

I purchased a 2014 XLT this weekend... sync with the small 4.2? screen without MFT. I am using an iPhone 5s and my Bluetooth stays selected. When I fire up the truck the bluetooth syncs back up and continues playing whatever I had playing when I exited. Yall had me concerned... from reading this thread I was under the assumption that this sync system does not reconnect.

It is a new 2014 XLT manufactured in December.

I have Spotify working with both USB & Bluetooth Audio. The only thing that doesn't work for me is that the "play/pause" (ok) button doesn't work!!
