That was my plan as well, but haven't kept up with it. I can see with that amp and sub it's a good idea. The only drain I have on mine though, is whatever it came from the factory with, except my cell phone charger if I forget to pull it out of the 12 volt socket.

Interesting thread... I must be lucky, 2013 Lariat 63,000 miles original battery. I had surgery early this year and my truck sat for 3 weeks, started up no issues when I needed it.
The "battery saver" notification used to bother me while I listened to the sound system while truck was off, but not anymore.

I disconnected the sensor from my negative battery cable and drove the truck today. Now that I'm home I've had the engine off the doors open and the radio on for a half hour and my battery is still showing 12.2 volts. Now this is the way that it's supposed to operate. I'm happy again. No messages on the dash and no radio shutting off on me.

Let us know what happens after the truck has sat undisturbed for 8 hrs.

Everything was normal. Functioning great now. This is awesome because I was about to drop $150 on a new battery thinking that was the problem. I can understand now why lots of people are purposefully looking for old vehicles these days. All this new stuff is a PITA.

I hated this feature until I understood how it worked. My battery light came on and never had an issue. I replaced the battery though because one of the terminals was corroded. Thought all was fine, but battery light came back on. I researched and found that I needed to have the battery monitor system reset. The dealer did that free, and I noticed a 3mpg jump in gas mileage.

People are often afraid of what they don't understand, that is a fact. I'll keep my BMS active as I understand it and know what to do if/when something goes wrong.

Reminds me of the member on another forum that kept complaining of the "nannies", how they interfered with his driving ability and he kept trying to find a way to turn them all off.
After a couple of month, he succeeded in turning them all off and wrote a long and detailed thread about it.
A month or two passed before he posted a "So this happened this morning" thread, detailing how he lost control leaving a cars and coffee and crashed his car. The thread was mostly about how bad the car handled and how it's a POS and he will never buy another one again. His reaction was priceless when someone mentioned his previous threads as a possible contributing factor!

So, someone that can't drive with or without nannies is your example? Guess it doesn't apply to me.
