Can seatbelt chime be disabled?...
...on my 2014 King Ranch?
I work in construction and agriculture. When I'm at the farm I'm in and out of my truck a lot. Private dirt roads. I'd like to have the seat belt warning disabled. Can I do it? Is there a trick? Can the dealer do it? TIA. |
yes you can it is in your manual on how to turn it off... You have to buckle and unbuckle about 5-10 times or something like that

sit in your truck with key on not running, door shut and parking brake set.
When seatbelt minder light goes out after about a minute or so count 5 seconds then buckle completely and unbuckle your seat belt 3 times in a row then when the seat belt minder light comes back on (about 5 seconds after last sequence) buckle and unbuckle seat belt while that light is back on. After that it flashes a sequence of 5 or so flashes showing you its disabled... Enjoy You have to sit in and do the same for the passenger seat if you want it off also. Doing that procedure again will also reactivate the warning chime if needed in the future |
very cool..didn't know that...thanks

It worked. Thanks.
But. When I sat in the passenger side to do it. It re programmed the drivers side. I went back and redid the drivers side. Not sure if pass side is done? |
Did mine today thanks to this thread

It never ceases to amaze me why the owner's manual isn't consulted/used. http://www.gdmjoe.com/nonono.gif
