Can Our Truck Beds Be "Skinned" To Be Repaired When Damaged?
So my 2017 has gotten off to a very rough start. I came outside after having dinner tonight to find my truck having been hit pretty hard. No note, no indication of who did it, no cameras anywhere. I parked away from everything and everyone. That's what I get for it.
What I was curious about, for those body guys or those that may have had to have their bed fixed, can ours have just the outer skin replaced? I know that some other manufacturers can but this is my first need of a repair on this truck and I surely don't want to have to have the whole bed done.
Thankfully everything else is functional and fine and even the tonneau wasn't damaged even after the bed cap popping up that much.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you talking about just replacing the bed side? If so, yes. Other than damage, several guys have done it to replace them with fiberglass bedsides for larger flares.
Sorry about the damage, people suck.

Yes talking about the bed side, sorry. I've always heard people call it the outer skin.
I completely forgot about people putting the Raptor fenders or fiberglass on them. Brain fart. Not thinking clearly obviously after this crap
Thanks

That's some unusual damage. Almost looks like something fell down on the bedside rail, and than was dragged/bounced down along the side of the fender. WTH?

Hi, you might get more / better responses in the 2015 + forum.
My mistake; I thought you were talking about a 2017 truck.

Hi, "So my 2017 is off to a very rough start" Sounded to me like he was talking about a 2017 F-150. This made me think that he moved from a 2013 to a brand new 2017. I just read it wrong.
