Default Can I program a replacement key with only one original key?

I just bought a 2010 and only received one key. Is it possible to program a replacement without the second key. Trying not to go to the dealership.

Possible? I don't know. But anytime I've had to do that ( three times now ) I always needed two keys if the vehicle has the PATS system.

Not yourself but you can go to the hardware store that does key cloning .
To program a extra key yourself you need two original keys and preform a cycling procedure

There is some free software available that will let you do so, just need an OBDII dongle and a Windows laptop/tablet. www.forscan.org to download. Also there's a thread on this forum created to help guide you along, https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/

You can't use forescan on the 09-10 trucks, different computer systems. You CANNOT program a second key with only one master, no ands ifs or buts about it with your year truck. DO NOT get a cloned key, it's not a true master either and can't be used to make new keys. Buy a ford pats key on ebay, take it to a locksmith, pay them 50-60 bucks for 5 minutes of time with their special computer and you'll then have a second master.

Have you tried a local locksmith. A guy cut/programmed a key for $75, dealership wanted to charge me $150.

You sure about that? 2009-2014 share the same PATS module wherein the key programming takes place, not the BCM which 11-14 trucks have and 09-10 have a GEM.

FORScan was updated in version 2.3.7 to include PATS programming for 2009-2010 F-150. FORScan will also delete the missing key(s) that is(are) already programmed to his truck, so that he will have the only Admin/Master keys that will start his truck...
I agree with getting an OEM key, or at least buying from a reputable seller, as the cheap knockoff key blanks are hit or miss when it comes to programming.

Exactly and version 2.3.8 is out now that corrects some of the PATS programming issues that 2.3.7 had.

I'm looking into the same thing (2010 F150) for akey the wife lost.
Not sure if this will be of any other assistance (On a bad net) but it looks to be a 'walk through'.

http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=839

Hope it helps.

.... I'd also like to find a way to program a transmitter for the lock and the Autostart as she lost those on the other key as well.

*** Edit: Also looks like you will need an extended license to use the PATS reprogramming... according to their page at:
