Default Calling all audio veterans. Sub and amp install walk through needed

My truck is a 2010 f150 screw xlt. I'm looking if someone can walk me through a sub and amp install.
This is my pioneer head unit. I'm unsure of how to get it out without breaking the faceplate tabs

I'm running dual 10's so I cannot put the amp under the back seat. Pictures would be a bonus. Thanks in advance

There are two screws you need to remove under the removable rubber pad where your cigarettes are at in your pic above your pioneer! Then you'll pry out the panels on each side of your radio, then remove the panel around your radio! After you remove your Pioneer head unit you'll have a set of red and white rca outputs on the radio you run that to and from your amp rca inputs! You'll have to then run a remote turn on to your amp, Id recommend putting your amp behind the dash or under a seat if its smsll enough to fit as its a pain to remove the entire rear set to mount it behind there... Hope this gives you some insight, its pretty easy since you already have the aftermarket Pioneer head unit!!!

-18 F? Where are you dude? Seriously though. There is a youtube video that I used. It can show you better than I could tell you. I have the same truck. Its pretty quick and easy to do. Which amp did you go with? Face plate taps?

It was -39 a few days ago. Got a link?

Thanks Todd I double checked under the rubber mat and the screws are there. I have a JL audio 1200 watt amp so it's fairly big. Over 12" long. Behind the seat do I have to do any cutting or anything to mount it? Or just screw it on there

Fx4tt. I see you used like a steel mounting plate and drilled into the cab. I wanted to avoid doing that if possible

Nothing too bad just trimming some of the factory insulation/sound deadening material pretty straight forward, just a little more time consuming

I Just had my stereo Installed, and we put the Amp Alpine V70 5 channel
on the back wall behind the jump seat, and also put the 2 converters there.

one High Voltage Converter is for the Sub
the other is for the 4 speakers, both adjustable

here is what I added,

Alpine V70 5channel amp
4- Infifnty 8602cfx 6x8| speakers
MTX 12, Form Fitted fiberglass Sub Box
4 rolls of dynamatt on doors and back of door panels
Adiuo Control - Hi Voltage Converter Controls Bass
Stinger - Line Output Converter adjustable High power
RCA cables
Wireing Kit - 8gauge - 16G - 18G

the only thing I need to add is the SuB Bass control ****

Like what was said......there is a few good Video#s of Installs...that can explain it alot better then I could......

Good Luck

Grant

Yeah depending on how long/wide your amp is you can put it under your drivers seat. I put mine there and put it on wooden "stilts" to keep it off the carpet. I also put a notch on one side of the wood to allow a wire harness to move when you move the seat front/back.

Not 100% sure your 2010 looks the same under your driver seat like my 2006 does. Sorry if this is irrelevant. Also depends if you want the amp easily accessible or not. Finally, if you think ventilation is going to be a problem or you know you'll be pushing your amp to the max, Id stay away from putting it behind the seat. Otherwise, behind the seat is a great place for the stealth look.

Good luck with your install.
