Default CAI and Exhaust Question

I have a true dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers on my 2013 5.0 Screw and I am wanting to install a K&N CAI and was wondering if I need a tune or not? With my old car you couldn't do anything but an exhaust without a tune (Evo)

you already have a CAI, and your factory airbox already outflows your engine. CAI is good for lightening your wallet and making noise.

you can do an exhaust without a tune. i had one, no probs. i also unhooked the flanges after the resonator and ran it straight piped for a little.

You may save some gas with a tune and as It was already stated the CAI won't improve your gas milage and having a beastly sounding exhaust results in wanting to hear it. Sounds like a no win situation here. Some of the forum goers swear by the SSI tune in the other thread. I'm running my exhaust and stock intake and no tune my gas milage blows since I put my foot down from time to time.

just curious where you got this information from or what you are basing it on.

is there data somewhere that shows the amount of vacuum developed in the tube is almost 0" Hg at full power? or something like a filter of X size, design, material flows some amount at some pressure drop?

YouTube has a several videos debunking the myths that you gain MPGs or performance. I'm on crappy smart phone so linking and searching is a bit tedious. The last Gen OEM air intakes perform as well or better then a CIA Google it it's out there. If you like the sound of the aftermarket CIA by all means drop the cash for it. Please provide charts or evidence that factually shows CIA benefits for a late model F150 I was unable to find any reliable data beyond someone saying I have increased throttle response etc etc.

I'm very confused why you would quote something I wrote and then ask (I'm assuming me) to provide charts or evidence showing CIA benefits.

NOWHERE in this thread did I make any such bold claims either for or against a CAI on a 2011 and up 5.0.

I'm a fan of backing up statements with theory, facts, data, etc.

Maybe you were actually referring to someone else though?

A youtube video of a small car with a small inch motor and a turbo doesn't necessarily translate to the same results on a 2011 and up naturally aspirated 5.0 F150. Although the results could be the same if the test was performed on a 2011 and up 5.0 F150.
