Default cabin air filter

Does anybody know if there is a cabin air filter in the 2011 f150's?

I contacted the Ford Technical Group about this in my 2011 F-150 XLT. The response is, "Thank you for your patience. Our Technical Subject Matter has responded and advised that the air distribution system for your 2011 Ford F-150 cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter. As such, your vehicle is not equipped with a cabin air filter.

Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company and have a great day!"

This has always perplexed me. A $50k vehicle does not come with a cabin filter. I'm pretty sure with the billions they spend with R&D, putting in a cabin filter surely isn't impossible.

Given the # of F-150s on the road, I'm surprised that an aftermarket company hasn't designed a retro-fit kit.

Something like was done for the Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Marauder, etc. ...

Over on the vw forum a lot of guys retrofitted HVAC air filters for a cabin filter. If I find the link I'll post it. I'm sure the same can be done with the F150.
