better check that third brake light seal. Often water will leak in and pool up in the corners, rotting them from the inside out. I was dealing with the same issues a few months ago and had both rockers replaced under fords paint and corrosion warranty (which covers the vehicles paint for up to five years from the put in service date). I would try and pop the bubble to see if water comes out, then you know what your dealing with. Seems like this is more of an issue with the supercrews.
What do you mean from the in service date? My truck was built in 11/ 2012 but not sold until Feb of 2013, does this mean I have until Feb of 18 to get it fixed or do I have to get it taken care of by November this year?

The original service date is when the truck was sold. I think my build date was June of 2012 and I bought the truck new on September 11 of 2012. My warranty started in September when the truck was purchased and was up this past September 11.

A truck could sit on a dealer lot for 3 years but the warranty period still would not start until the truck is sold for the first time.

So my truck was born 12/12. I think I recall that the Carfax showed that it was put into service 1/13. This means that I have 3 months left on my corrosion warranty.
I swung by the local dealership today. They wrote it up and took photos. They will submit to Ford and see if Ford will agree to fix the truck.

I looked at a 2017 while waiting on them to photograph mine, and the cab corners on the new trucks appear to be a mixture of aluminum and plastic composite material covering it all up. Less rigid of course, but almost zero chance of corrosion issues. It's kind of growing on me.

Exactly. That's what should have happened. His dealer pretty much screwed him. Now Ford has pics of it without a hole. I'd "encourage" it to become a hole, then bring it back in 2 months and exclaim how much worse it's gotten.
