Default CA Ecoboost owners

I read through the latest thread claiming the intercooler probs are still there with current build trucks. I may be picking mine up this week or next, and I wouldn't mind hearing from Ca EB owners specifically. Are we fortunate enough to live in a climate that doesn't trigger the condensation problem? I live in northen Ca (Sacramento area) as a point of reference. I'd appreciate any feedback on the likelihood of the symptoms showing up here.

I live in high desert so Ca area and just hit the 59k mark..Run up and down the Cajon pass alot. My truck started the missing and cutting out when climbing the pass. I put a new set of plugs in it because it felt like a bad set of wires or plugs. So far the problem has been solved. With the driveline bang and few other problems I wish I would have considered the 5.0. However you can pull stumps out with the ECO..

No issues with mine. 15k miles and runs like a ****! I don't treat it very nice either. It gets floored about 10-15 times a day. I do pull maintenence early, like oil changes 3-4k miles because DI motors do dilute the oil with fuel before conventional injection. It's not a EB problem, just what direct injected motors do.

2013 with 18,000 trouble free miles. Incredible fuel economy if I stay at 65mph. Love the truck.

Live in the bay area. 2011 eco 3.73 with 17k miles, no issues whatsoever thus far. It has been fine in wet weather driving as well.

I've driven through prolly all of the 'storms' we've had come through here since last November, and the truck has yet to tweak out on me.

Nor Cal Bay Area has some of the best weather in the World so I didnt expect any problems here. Cali in general is fairly good with regards to humidity and you should have no problems in Sac.

I hear ECO issues from places with high humidity especially during the winter such as Houston and Louisiana. Now that I think on it, I recall ECO tests only being conducted in fair weather, and I would be shocked if Ford didnt test in humid cold and wet weather climate.

I would only worry about doing early maintenance if you tow/haul allot since you get more blow by when the engine is working harder that adds more soot in the oil. If not then its just a waste.
