Exclamation A/C Stopped Blowing Cold

I’ve got a ‘13 F159 FX4 with the 5.0

A/C stopped blowing cold yesterday. I’ve got about 50lb of pressure, so from what I understand the A/C system doesn’t need recharged. My question is, could this be a blower motor issue? Air still comes out of the vents, it’s just not cold, and I heard a “grinding” sort of noise from the blower motor just before the A/C stopped working. Any help would be appreciated.

So everything working fine except you're not getting cooled air? is the clutch engaging?

50 lbs. in a passenger vehicle? Seems a bit much to me.
usually no more than 35lbs. But hey, these newer vehicles maybe like more. As long as the clutch stays engaged, then you have enough pressure to keep switch activated. I suspect the clutch cycles and you will need to remove a couple shims to bring clutch plate closer to the drive plate of compressor.

Good luck and Keep us Posted.

The gauges i posted show the correct settings at that ambient temp, so yes, 50lbs is too high.

A single oversimplified pressure reading is useless for determining anything, except that it's useless. Without additional qualifiers and information, it means almost nothing.

Mine was the TXV. Then the compressor died. $1100. A little too much labor in that, testing various things. But it works again.
