Default A/C Gurus - Tweaking Pressures

'14 F150 and trying to tweak the pressures before I look at the resistor hack.

80° and 60% humidity. 35/150, Max a/c mid fan speed giving vent temps of 46-56....not stop cycling. Dealer evac/recharged and I added twelve ounces to try and improve the pressures. Doesn't appear to be overcharged...does it need more?

I have been dicking with this at the shop for a little bit, but I don't think its based on pressures, I think its based on in-cabin temps. Mine runs about 30/180 and I get 60* out the vents lol

I believe that there's a sticker under the hood that states the max refrigerant the system can hold. One way to tell that you have overcharged your system is that the electric fans will be continuously running on high even when going down the highway.

Under the hood should say 24 ounces. That is Fords position. The issue is not charge on these trucks, its programming as has been recently shown in another post, I will get the link.

Your wasting time with charging!

What proves this is the fact that the 15's are freezing folks out! They changed something back!

I am surprised Ford won't just fix the "problem" since clearly they did on the 15's

Pressures are good. Just wanted to stabalize the temps before I do the resistor hack tomorrow. Fans running on low speed is normal with the A/C on, correct?

Based on my truck, yes until temps get into the mid to high 90's then in traffic or if parked the high may kick in for a while.
